Tamiya M26 Pershing:
Features MF-03/DMD T-06 electronics. Frank spent many hours
detailing the model to show the effects of battle and time. There
are also items of humor if you look long enough. For example the
hand throwing a shell casing out of the turret. Items to notice
here in the pictures are the scratch built wooden creates with damage,
ammo boxes with damage, the gunner smoking, and a butt at the base of
the machine gun. Most of the storage boxes have been modified to
open to show additional detail items.
Base color used was Testors Masters paint #1911 Olive Drab
with weathering and rust from Weather System (Bragdon Enterprises). |

Tamiya Panzer VI Tiger I:
#332, with MF-01/T-03 kit. Frank has added a couple of
modifications to this kit based on his R/C aircraft days. The
first is the hidden On/Off switch. The vent just behind the Turret
Gunner's Hatch is actually a push button switch (see photo). The
second modification was the addition of smoke generators to the Tiger's
exhaust. The generators are actually from the "G-Scale" model
railroad world and are from LGB. The tank features the three color camouflage scheme
used from 1943 to 1945. The base color used was Tamiya's Dark
Yellow with Red Brown and Dark Green camouflage pattern. |
